- VALIDITY

Two or three years, with a 30-day grace period.

UAE residence visas are typically valid for two or three years, with a 30-day grace period after expiration. A medical test, fingerprints and health insurance (for Dubai residence visas) are mandatory at the initial application stage.

The residence permit will become invalid if the resident stays outside the country for more than six months - unless they hold an Investor visa category.
